Nikki Nicholas – Pilates specialist in Low back pain
At our Southend clinic we work closely with Nikki who is a Pilates teacher specialising in teaching those with low back pain. Pilates is a safe and effective exercise approach for those with back pain
by working on the body’s core strength and stability which helps protect and stabilise the spinal structures. It also improves posture and flexibility so making the back less prone to injury and over use strains. Nikki is a fully accredited member and listed Advanced Instructor at Level 4 with the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) and she is qualified in Exercise for the Management of Low back Pain. Nikki also teaches Pilates sessions to Southend United Football Club, is a qualified yoga teacher and trained in ante/post-natal exercise. By working on Pilates exercises as part of their physiotherapy treatment
our patients’ find it maximises the effects of hands on techniques and gives them the tools to strengthen and stabilise their spine for a long term solution to their back pain.
Nikki lives locally in Southend and also teaches pupils in her home studio.
There is paid parking along Eastern Esplanade and in the nearby new Gasworks car park.
